  In addressing how to utilize NYS' multibillion dollar surplus, stated: "It should be put into a rainy day fund."

   

• Economy↓

   

  Supports a statewide minimum wage at "what the market can bear."

   

  Stated that municipalities such as NYC should not be able to set their own minimum wage.

   

  In addressing developing a NYS jobs program, stated that NYS "should develop a jobs program where they incentivize small businesses to train people with skills they can use to gain employment."

  Opposes implementing the Common Core state standards.

   

  Supports raising the cap on charter schools.

   

  Stated that government should pay for co-locations of charter schools in public school buildings.

   

  Supports statewide universal pre-kindergarten.

  Stated that municipalities should decide, via zoning processes, whether hydrofracking occurs in their jurisdiction.

  In addressing challenges with the NYS Health Exchange rollout and the high cost of Medicare, stated: "Well the website was handled badly, but the bigger problems with healthcare is that insurance companies and bureaucrats are having more to do with healthcare decisions than doctors. When it comes to medicaid costs, I would support a more aggressive task force looking at fraud, waste, and abuse."

  Opposes non-citizen voting.

   

  Opposes drivers licenses for undocumented immigrants.

  Stated that the biggest infrastructure needs in the district are: "The roads are falling apart and desperately need repair, we're seeing street collapses. I would work with other members of the state legislature to find monies for street repair, raise money privately if need be."

  In addressing road safety, and the appropriate approach to balancing the needs of pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers, stated: "That's more the role of the city council than the State Assembly."
